After moving to North Carolina four years ago and owning a successful shop on the west coast I decided to open a shop here in Statesville. Although my huband and I live in Mooresville, I chose Statesville because it has that small town feel that is diffcult to find anymore.
People who step into my shop are quite pleased with the relaxing tropical atmosphere I have created. Most are surprised when they are told my shop is consignment. That's because I am very particular about my inventory and accept only high quality items. Only new or like new items are accepted for consignment. I'm not particular about labels but look for items that are unique. Consignment is a way to earn a little extra cash for items no longer being used. It's also a way to shop for quality items at affordable prices. These days who doesn't need or want a bargain?
Unsold items are returned to the consignor or donated to the Statesville Womans Shelter. At a time when these women may not have much, these clothes give them a nice outfit for a job interview, work or church. We also have what we like to call FEED THE PIG. All donations to the pig will be given to the womans shelter and you get a chance to win a raffle. This quarter we are raffling the beach comber bike in my display window.

HOW TO CONSIGN
Consignments are taken by appointment only and limited to approximately 20 items per appointment unless previously arranged.
Only current, in season and stylish items in excellent like new condition will be accepted. Items must be free of any wrinkles, stains, holes, odors, pet hair, lint or any type of damage. I inspect all items personally to ensure quality control.
Clothing must brought in on hangers or nice shopping bags. In keeping with the integrity of the store, items will not be accepted if brought into the shop in garbage or plastic grocery bags.
All prices are determined and set by Traveling Pants Trading Company. The consignment period is 90 days. When an item sells you receive 40% of the selling price with an additional 10% discount if used as store credit.
Items not sold in 90 days are returned to you or donated....
